The Zibro units proved to be a fine alternative but the output could not be regulated down much, so they would run hot at 2.5-2.8 kw and would need constant turning off and on (about every 30-60 minutes) to maintain a steady room temperature, and to keep running costs down – problem with this being the kerosene whiff given off by repeatedly doing this builds up and becomes much more noticeable, especially as I’m using the C2 heating oil version.
